make a difference is a charity that strives to level the playing field for children and young people at a serious disadvantage in relation to their peers.
we operate in south west sydney and focus on two main groups of children and young people:
- those who have a parent who has a mental illness that is having an impact on the well-being of their family
- those still in primary school who have experienced multiple long suspensions from school
make a difference was delighted to be included recently as one of the beneficiaries of the nsw parliament's annual fundraising event.
the nsw parliament spring ball, held in late 2012, was a terrifically fun night and the funds raised will be a welcome addition to help us continue to support disadvantaged young people in sydney's south west.
for more info on the event see our fundraising page.
